3:00 pm - Audrey Goldstein of NFPA - “A comparison of the residential sprinkler requirements within NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D”.
Discussion will include design methods, differences in location requirements (particularly omissions), and other questions frequently asked of the NFPA technical staff.
4:00 pm - Alan Johnston of Hydratec – “Using Automated Hydraulic Calculations to Analyze a Sprinkler System Model from within Revit”.
This presentation will provide a live demonstration of a fully automated process for retrieving and analyzing all the necessary input for an NFPA format hydraulic calculation. The sprinkler system pipe may be modeled within Revit using virtually any Revit tools and family content currently in use in Revit MEP-FP design.
